Go See ‘An Inconvenient Truth’

So I saw An Inconvenient Truth this past Friday. It was quite good. Informative, entertaining, and quite shocking. I highly recommend going to see it.
A lot of what was covered, I studied in college. That was ten years ago, it was convincing then, and the evidence has simply been mounting since […]

E-Bikes

I’ve only recently heard about e-bikes, and surprisingly, I don’t see a lot of information about them online. In essence, they are bikes with an electric motor and battery attached. As I understand it, they are usually charged by plugging into the wall, and then can provide extra power (such as when climbing […]

Green Electricity Addendum

Delivery Charges: @ $0.04977/KWH = $51.41
Generation Charges: […]

If you live in Massachusetts, as I do, and are in an area serviced by Massachusetts Electric, you have some fantastically easy options for swapping out your current dirty and polluting electricity for some that’s clean and environmentally friendly. Mass Electric has a program called GreenUp, which allows you to choose one of a […]

Save water while you shower

One quick and easy way to save a little energy and a little water at the same time is to look at efficient showerheads for the bathroom. Metaefficient has an entire section devoted to showerheads, and they seem to usually run at between 1.0 and 2.0 gallons per minute. Apparently, non-conserving showerheads use […]
